About

Artists for Kids was founded in 1989 with the singular intent to support art education, for all.
In 1990, with the support of art educators and artist patrons Gordon Smith and Jack Shadbolt, Bill Reid worked with Artists for Kids to publish the first Artists for Kids Limited Edition Portfolio print, Xhuwaji / Haida Grizzly - marking the beginning of a extraordinary partnership between Canadian artists and Artists for Kids.

Entering its 35th year, Artists for Kids continues to work with renowned Canadian artists and print studios across Canada to publish contemporary limited editions; its portfolio is now revered as one of the most significant limited edition collections in Canada.
The Artists for Kids Limited Edition Portfolio program funds educational programs, artist residencies, art camps, scholarships, bursaries, and future acquisitions for the Artists for Kids and the Gordon Smith Gallery Permanent Collection.
